If there's one word that sums up the Greens, their policies and their supporters too, it is the word ‘superior’.
They aspire to save the human race from annihilation by uniting us all under their philosophy of equality, tolerance, mutual understanding and respectful sensitivity to one-another and the environment.
This makes them sociologically and ecologically superior to everyone else, a fact modesty does not prevent them shouting from any handy rooftop.
Under their egalitarian regime the future would be assured for all who embraced the Greens’ Utopian ideal.
Of course those who do not share the dream will be condemned mercilessly and publicly shamed at every opportunity, even if that opportunity must be engineered.
While politicians of other persuasions may publicly criticise and condemn their political opponents – fellow MPs, party leaders, Prime Ministers and Shadow Minister etc, – the Greens alone routinely seek to demonise entire groups within the general population.
Of all the groups the Greens disapprove of, there is one standout for whom they reserve their most toxic venom.
The Greens’ disdain for firearms owners is well documented and beyond dispute.
No other political party strives tirelessly to prejudice the community against a specific group representing hundreds of thousands of hard working, law abiding Australian citizens.
Indeed no other party could hope to get away with doing so without a thorough media trouncing, which the Greens somehow appear immune to.
Within the law abiding shooting fraternity there is a sub-set the Greens strive to demonise above all others, including shooters, and that is hunters.
For hunters the Greens reserve their most potent toxins, referring to them as cruel and bloodthirsty thrill killers who hunt simply because they "get off" on seeing innocent animals die in pain.
They conclude therefore - and indeed encourage the community to conclude also - that hunters are people with no place in a civilised society.
It is this and other even more vile and insulting rhetoric, that betrays the Greens’ grubby little secret.
Like the Ku Klux Klan and the United Patriots Front they claim to despise, the Greens’, along with many of the party’s supporters and other anti-hunters, are in fact white supremacists.
The evidence is found in their own language, which aims to diminish hunters' status as human beings worthy of tolerance and respect.
Examples of the barbs directed at hunters include (but are by no means restricted to) the following:
"There is no place for the hunting culture in a civilised society!"
"No one needs to hunt anymore. You do it because psychopaths enjoy killing!"
"Hunting is no longer necessary. Some of us have evolved you know!"
All these statements demonstrate disapproval of a group within the Australian community, based on its failure to keep pace with human development as determined and sanctioned by the anti-hunter.
But evidence of the Greens’ white supremacist bent is evident not just in the barbs they aim at hunters, but also in whom their disapproval and derogatory sniping is never directed at.
Australian Aboriginal people engage in very high profile hunting practices every day.
It is an aspect of culture in which they take immeasurable pride and one they strive with great commitment to rediscover after centuries of white oppression, for the sake of future generations,
Yet despite the anti-hunters’ claims that “there is no place for the hunting culture in a civilised society” none of them is berating Aboriginal people with this ‘fact’.
The anti-hunters are happy to turn a blind eye to Aboriginal hunting activity. Some even marvel at the harmony Aboriginal people have struck with the land through their traditional hunting practices.
The only logical conclusion one can draw from this apparent double standard, is that white supremacist anti-hunters believe Aboriginal society cannot rise to the challenge presented by criteria that determine the progress of white civilisation.
In short, it appears white supremacists have lower expectations of Aboriginal people’s ability to abandon redundant practices.
Likewise the claim that “no one needs to hunt any more” appears not to be a position that applies to Aboriginal people, many of whom not only hunt regularly, but do so under special legislation assuring their unique capacity to do so.
Legislation, I might add, that the Greens made no attempt to undo while energetically working to undo legislation that applied to the rights of non-Aboriginal hunters during the Game Council drama.
It would appear the white supremacists are of the opinion Aboriginal Australians are so primitive they cannot resist the compulsion to "kill innocent animals for fun", so they may as well be left to it.
We come finally to “some of us have evolved you know”.
Since this barb is never directed at Aboriginal Australia, one can only assume white supremacists do not count black Australians among those with evolutionary potential and thus expectations have been lowered accordingly.
Of course it’s hard for those of us who are not white supremacists to fathom how a cultural activity can be judged completely unacceptable when practiced by white people, yet completely acceptable when practiced by black people.
We may never have a rational explanation as to why this is the case, or why they believe hunting is an indicator of social inferiority and evolutionary retardation.
It’s likely they do not deign those inquiring to be sufficiently civilised to comprehend the subtle nuances of their "Blacks Only!" hunting philosophy.
But one doesn’t need to understand racism and cultural bigotry in order to identify and condemn it.
I for one do not believe white Australia must cast off its "cruel and barbarous, uncivilised and unnecessary" cultural practices in order to meet the Greens’ evolutionary standards for public approval.
Nor do I believe Australia’s Aboriginal population is incapable of meeting the very stringent evolutionary standards of even the most one-eyed white supremacist.
Provided of course, they were motivated to do so, which they clearly are not.
Those of us for whom responsible, ethical hunting is a long standing cultural tradition should follow Aboriginal Australia's lead.
We should maintain pride in our culture, despite the racists' best efforts to diminished its significance and value in the modern age.
We should remind those who claim to be above racial discrimination that Caucasian is also a race and that in Australia, the European hunters' quarries e.g. deer, pig, goat, buffalo and so on, are all completely in keeping with cultures stretching back to the dawn of time.
Anyway, I’ll get outaya way now....

Great article Gary!hit the nail on the head.if the greens were to gain anymore power in this country more than hunters would suffer.
ReplyDeleteSo very impressed with your brain sir. Gobsmacked. My hat is off to you, head bowed in admiration.
ReplyDeleteIt's a dark and frightening landscape, that much is certain comrade.
DeleteMr. Mallard lawabiding Australian firearm owners and hunters need you in parliament!
ReplyDeleteIm a hunter and I voted Green because Im pro environment also but since I started reading your stuff I realize the Greens dont support me. They are racists as you claim, getting behind the races they approve of and condemning Australian traditions. The shameful way they treat ANZAC day is another example of how the actually hate Australia and want to make it something else completely.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work!
Ever thought about a book on ethical hunting and effective representation for hunters like yourself? There's an audience for such a book. Could be a winner. I'll drop you an email. We might be able to help you get it off the ground.
ReplyDeleteWell written sir,you have raised some points that never occured to me previously.I believe the greens have also been conscripted by their powerful allies to shoulder the responsibilty to vilify gun owners and shooters to please their masters and gain concessions, thus leaving their masters at the top to keep their distance while still holding up John Howard as their poster boy for gun reform.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dave. There is one "environmental factor" above all others that makes the Greens what they are. They know they will never be in a position to have to make any of their policies work when implemented on a national basis, because they will never be elected to government.
DeleteBecause they will never have to prove their ideas are workable, they have the freedom to pander to emotion without any responsibility for the outcome. Ergo, they never make hard decision and never have to compromise on any policy position in order to satisfy the many different stakeholder groups.
They can afford to indulge themselves in way no responsible party can. They can remain absolutely ideologically rigid because no one can point and say "you way didn't work" and they can use the most vile and condescending rhetoric because the public can never threaten to vote them out at the next election. They are not even subject to the polls, so their own followers have no idea what their approval rating is even among Greens supporters. Not that it would matter anyway, because the type of people who vote Greens would never dream of voting mainstream anyone. They would donkey vote before they did that.
All these things afford the Greens absolute indemnity to be as irresponsible as they please, assured that all the other irresponsible, chronically emoting, hatefilled and self-indulgent people are 100% behind them.
I agree that the majority of Australians do not really care how licenced firearms people are treated by the media and the Greens.
ReplyDeleteWhilst the anti-gun zealots would say one life saved through our expensive long arm firearm registration is worthwhile I say our firearms registration system should be amended to the New Zealand model and this can be done then the anticipated millions of dollars saved could be used in mental health treatment - from this many more lives would be saved than under our existing system.
